The Gardener’s Field Guide started as a resource for new and beginner gardeners and the novice landscape designer. 

Gardening shouldn’t feel mysterious or intimidating. We believe great gardens grow from curiosity, a few good tools, and a willingness to try something new.

Our resources, including guides and videos, break down plant care, design, and botany into clear, practical steps you can actually use between work and life.

We mix real-world tips with a little whimsy. You'll see nerdy facts about plants, quick gardening tips and tricks, planning and design support, and much more. 

What we do:

• Practical guides: From seed-starting to pruning and seasonal care, with clear photos and checklists.

• Design primers: Simple frameworks to plan beds, container groups, and pollinator-friendly pockets.

• Soon: curated seeds, tools, and small-batch gear chosen to last (no trendy gimmicks — just good stuff).

Our promise: keep things simple, honest, useful, and a little playful. We’ll never make you feel like you need perfect soil, perfect timing, or perfect tools. Just a willingness to get your hands a little dirty.
